This tute is more about transparent textures than building a mod, but it does include some info on various functions that can be used to actually build a mod…

I have tried to duplicate this procedure in Blender 2.62 and failed… even using google I cannot seem to find a process that works…

I have also installed Blender 2.69 and 2.70a but cannot get the new 5.5.1 beta i3d exporter to work ?

First off, locate a windows_diffuse.dds texture from the default FS2013 files in your game folder on C drive and copy it to another folder, or a folder you are using to make your mod.

After I had exported this object I saw that it was backwards in GE, so in Pic 4, use the other two points and drag the green arrow backwards or the opposite of what I have done - or follow the procedure and rotate it 180 degrees in GE.

I would also recommend keeping a working copy of GE 5.0.1. Later versions save a compressed shape which can never be edited; so open and save any new mods/objects in GE 5.0.1 until you are happy with it before finally saving it in GE 5.5.1

Unless you have a sub folder called assets for your textures, you will have to open the i3d file in Notepad++ and edit the texture path line.
