This was originally uploaded with picture image support, unfortunately they have since been removed.

I'm creating this Tutorial to support the adding of Swathable OSR to a combine for use in Beacons View V3 Micro and Feldy..

Get to know where your Mod's.xml is located and also the use of Notepad / Notepad++

First stage.. The Combine..

Unzip your favourite Combine. (I'm using the ls-uk modteams Clayson for this tutorial)

Now open the newly created folder (named the same as the zip you just extracted/unzipped)

Now you need to locate the mods .xml file and its usually named the same as the mod in this case its the NH_Clayson_M135_MT.xml

and open it (right click) with notepad++ (its the program i recommend)

now look for these lines…

<pipeParticleSystems
     <pipeParticleSystem type="wheat" position="0.42316 0.77211 -3.47184" rotation="0 90 0" file="$data/vehicles/particleSystems/wheatParticleSystem.i3d" />
     <pipeParticleSystem type="barley" position="0.42316 0.77211 -3.47184" rotation="0 90 0" file="$data/vehicles/particleSystems/wheatParticleSystem.i3d" />
✔    <pipeParticleSystem type="rape" position="0.42316 0.77211 -3.47184" rotation="0 90 0" file="$data/vehicles/particleSystems/rapeParticleSystem.i3d" />
     <pipeParticleSystem type="maize" position="0.42316 0.77211 -3.47184" rotation="0 90 0" file="$data/vehicles/particleSystems/wheatParticleSystem.i3d" />
</pipeParticleSystems>
<graintankParticleSystems>
     <graintankParticleSystem type="wheat"  node="0>31|1" rotation="0 0 0" file="$data/vehicles/particleSystems/wheatParticleSystem.i3d" />
     <graintankParticleSystem type="barley"  node="0>31|1" rotation="0 0 0" file="$data/vehicles/particleSystems/wheatParticleSystem.i3d" />
     <graintankParticleSystem  type="maize" node="0>31|1" rotation="0 0 0" file="$data/vehicles/particleSystems/wheatParticleSystem.i3d" />
✔    <graintankParticleSystem  type="rape"   node="0>31|1" rotation="0 0 0" file="$data/vehicles/particleSystems/rapeParticleSystem.i3d" />
</graintankParticleSystems>ankParticleSystems>

OK you need to copy the ✔ lines (the ones that are for rape) and copy them after the last similar line in each section..(see below)

<pipeParticleSystems>
     <pipeParticleSystem type="wheat" position="0.42316 0.77211 -3.47184" rotation="0 90 0" file="$data/vehicles/particleSystems/wheatParticleSystem.i3d" />
     <pipeParticleSystem type="barley" position="0.42316 0.77211 -3.47184" rotation="0 90 0" file="$data/vehicles/particleSystems/wheatParticleSystem.i3d" />
✔    <pipeParticleSystem type="rape" position="0.42316 0.77211 -3.47184" rotation="0 90 0" file="$data/vehicles/particleSystems/rapeParticleSystem.i3d" />
     <pipeParticleSystem type="maize" position="0.42316 0.77211 -3.47184" rotation="0 90 0" file="$data/vehicles/particleSystems/wheatParticleSystem.i3d" />
✘    <pipeParticleSystem type="rape" position="0.42316 0.77211 -3.47184" rotation="0 90 0" file="$data/vehicles/particleSystems/rapeParticleSystem.i3d" />
</pipeParticleSystems>
<graintankParticleSystems>
    <graintankParticleSystem type="wheat"  node="0>31|1" rotation="0 0 0" file="$data/vehicles/particleSystems/wheatParticleSystem.i3d" />
    <graintankParticleSystem type="barley"  node="0>31|1" rotation="0 0 0" file="$data/vehicles/particleSystems/wheatParticleSystem.i3d" />
    <graintankParticleSystem  type="maize" node="0>31|1" rotation="0 0 0" file="$data/vehicles/particleSystems/wheatParticleSystem.i3d" />
✔   <graintankParticleSystem  type="rape"   node="0>31|1" rotation="0 0 0" file="$data/vehicles/particleSystems/rapeParticleSystem.i3d" />
✘   <graintankParticleSystem  type="rape"   node="0>31|1" rotation="0 0 0" file="$data/vehicles/particleSystems/rapeParticleSystem.i3d" />
</graintankParticleSystems>

OK so the ✔ lines were the originals and the ✘ lines are the copies that i've just added (copy and pasted), now you need to rename the second rapes (✘ line name) to OSR (note the capitals!) instead of rape.

<pipeParticleSystems>
     <pipeParticleSystem type="wheat" position="0.42316 0.77211 -3.47184" rotation="0 90 0" file="$data/vehicles/particleSystems/wheatParticleSystem.i3d" />
     <pipeParticleSystem type="barley" position="0.42316 0.77211 -3.47184" rotation="0 90 0" file="$data/vehicles/particleSystems/wheatParticleSystem.i3d" />
     <pipeParticleSystem type="rape" position="0.42316 0.77211 -3.47184" rotation="0 90 0" file="$data/vehicles/particleSystems/rapeParticleSystem.i3d" />
✔    <pipeParticleSystem type="maize" position="0.42316 0.77211 -3.47184" rotation="0 90 0" file="$data/vehicles/particleSystems/wheatParticleSystem.i3d" />
✘    <pipeParticleSystem type="OSR" position="0.42316 0.77211 -3.47184" rotation="0 90 0" file="$data/vehicles/particleSystems/rapeParticleSystem.i3d" />
</pipeParticleSystems>
<graintankParticleSystems>
    <graintankParticleSystem type="wheat"  node="0>31|1" rotation="0 0 0" file="$data/vehicles/particleSystems/wheatParticleSystem.i3d" />
    <graintankParticleSystem type="barley"  node="0>31|1" rotation="0 0 0" file="$data/vehicles/particleSystems/wheatParticleSystem.i3d" />
    <graintankParticleSystem  type="maize" node="0>31|1" rotation="0 0 0" file="$data/vehicles/particleSystems/wheatParticleSystem.i3d" />
✔   <graintankParticleSystem  type="rape"   node="0>31|1" rotation="0 0 0" file="$data/vehicles/particleSystems/rapeParticleSystem.i3d" />
✘   <graintankParticleSystem  type="OSR"   node="0>31|1" rotation="0 0 0" file="$data/vehicles/particleSystems/rapeParticleSystem.i3d" />
</graintankParticleSystems>

Now you need to continue looking for rape references in the .xml

<chopperParticleSystems>
 <chopperParticleSystem type="rape" position="0 1.0961 -3.32783" rotation="0 0 0" file="$data/vehicles/particleSystems/threshingChopperParticleSystemRapeSmall.i3d" />
 <chopperParticleSystem type="maize" position="0 1.0961 -3.32783" rotation="0 0 0" file="$data/vehicles/particleSystems/threshingChopperParticleSystemMaizeSmall.i3d" />
</chopperParticleSystems>

Same as before copy and paste the rape lines.. And change type=“rape” to “OSR”

<chopperParticleSystems>
 <chopperParticleSystem type="rape" position="0 1.0961 -3.32783" rotation="0 0 0" file="$data/vehicles/particleSystems/threshingChopperParticleSystemRapeSmall.i3d" />
 <chopperParticleSystem type="maize" position="0 1.0961 -3.32783" rotation="0 0 0" file="$data/vehicles/particleSystems/threshingChopperParticleSystemMaizeSmall.i3d" />
 <chopperParticleSystem type="OSR" position="0 1.0961 -3.32783" rotation="0 0 0" file="$data/vehicles/particleSystems/threshingChopperParticleSystemRapeSmall.i3d" />
</chopperParticleSystems>
<grainTankPlane type="rape">
            <node index="15|2">
                <key time="0" translation="0.054 2.76 0.475" scale="1 1 1"/>
                <key time="1" translation="0.054 3.654 0.475" scale="1 1 1"/>
            </node>
        </grainTankPlane>
  <grainTankPlane type="OSR">
            <node index="15|2">
                <key time="0" translation="0.054 2.76 0.475" scale="1 1 1"/>
                <key time="1" translation="0.054 3.654 0.475" scale="1 1 1"/>
            </node>
        </grainTankPlane>

Basically as rape and OSR are the same thing then it stands to reason that they would use the same planes and particle systems, that's why you can get away with copying and pasting all the rape info and just changing the type=“rape” to type=“OSR” without the need to create new planes or particle systems

Last but not least for the combine.. add OSR after a space to the grainTankFruitTypes fruitTypes list…

<grainTankFruitTypes fruitTypes="wheat rape maize barley OSR" />

OK thats it for the Combine ( the NH_Clayson_M135_MT.xml ) you can save the .xml now.. (press Ctrl+S to save)

Second stage.. The cutter..

Really easy this stage as its just the fruitTypes that needs adding to the cutters .xml ( NH_Clayson_Cutter.xml )

<fruitTypes fruitTypes="wheat rape barley OSR"/>

OK Ctrl+S to save this .xml too and were ready to rezip

Back to the folder that the mod zip was extracted to we need to left click and drag the mouse cursor over all the files in this folder taking care not to miss any out and then selecting either 7zip or winzip or winrar (i use and recommend 7zip) and “add to archive” and zip it up on normal settings

And that's it your done, go harvest some Swathable OSR on BV3 or Feldy..

BTW its exactly the same process to add this fruit to a trailer so go on you know what your doing now, Go on get!.. Get outta here i tell ya!.. Get!!!
