Hello all,

A lot of people have been asking how to convert maps? Well its not as hard as it seems to be. I thought it was rather hard but once i did it i didn't think i hadnt done it right because it was so easy.

Choose here for the best starter maps! -]

Firstly have a empty map folder on your desktop. This can be downloaded anywhere really, Just search for FS15 sample mod map or Starter map on google and download it. Open that file select all and hit extract to or just copy all into a new blank folder.

2) do the same for the map you want to convert. Open the map you want to convert in Giants Editor, and select everything in the scene graph except things like cameras, terrain and sun/light. Once you've selected everything but those things hit file and export selection with files. Save this to your new blank starter map file. I suggest you make a folder called models. then inside that a folder called 'All' or everything then save it there.

3) Copy the map01 folder from the map you want to convert into the blank starter map folder and either delete the one already in there or just click replace.

Now your 90% there.

4) Final step, open the blank starter map and you should have your map you wanted to convert's terrain and foliage all done how they normally are. What you do now is click file, import, then go to where you exported all the map objects. so ' models, all ' then import them.

And there you have converted a map, all you do now is replace the old triggers with new ones and change stuff to your preference.

Here is a standard blank starter map with default objects at one corner:

Hope this helps you.
